5a) After creating a slipknot, hold your finger on the knot and pull to stretch the strand then release to tighten the slipknot. Make the knot tight but still allow the loop to slide on the hook or needle.

5b) Crochet or knit loose. If needed, we recommend using metal hooks or needles with a tiny dab of hand lotion or hand salve to help the yarn glide. We include a hand salve tin with every order.

5c) To change colors and join Jelly Yarn color strands, tie the two different color strands together. in a knot, pull tight until the yarn stretches a little bit, then release (making a stretch-and-release knot). Weave the ends or leave them hang out as part of the design.

5d) After binding off or casting off, pull the strand tight and make a stretch-and-release knot. Trim leaving about a 7" tail. Weave the end or leave hanging out part of the design.

5e) If needed, to help uncurl or straighten crochet piece, heat gently with hairdryer then place heavy weight (i.e. books jug of water, etc.) on top to help flatten for a few hours or overnight.
